Time in Our Peace Garden![]()
While it is late November, the sun was warm as we watched this young man for about an hour, sitting on the deck in the Peace Garden. He appeared to be troubled. Eventually he rose and came into the office to ask for food. Perhaps he was working up the courage to ask. Maybe he just needed some quite time on a beautiful day. Whatever the case, we were able to provide him three bags of groceries and he was most grateful. The need for food, personal hygiene products, diapers and continues to grow. Other charities have previously announced they are running low on food, now we find our program is also in need of additional food. If you would like to help, click here for our secure online donation site or send your gift to Mission Advancement Office, 1329 S. Bluffview Wichita, KS 67218.

Volunteers...The Heart of Our Ministry In this time of giving thanks, we need to recognize a most dedicated corps of volunteers. Many have been with us for years, others many have worked on one project. Regardless, we could not carry out our mission without these dedicated people. Some work from home, others in the community garden, payee services, tax returns, home visitors, painting, cleaning, taking care of children and an endless list of opportunities. If you would like to help, send a note to Kathy Gilmartin at kgilmartin@csjoseph.org
