What makes a good lender?
What makes a good lender? More then anything the relationship with the Buyer and the Lender....Telling all of your buying hystory...Taking in any, and all in information quickly ...WOW This is the most critical part...The more information you can tell your lender, from the beginning of the process, the better...Good and Bad...The lender is there to make the deal happen...They want to see the buyer obtain the loan...Usually buyers feel, if the lender finds out my secret, then we will talk about it...However, it will only slow up the process...The lenders job is to build a file...Put in the file, anything that needs to be documented, for the underwriters...Processor reviews the file...And then the file goes into the underwriters hands...This is the holding pattern...After underwriters have approved it..Then it goes to the closing department...The closing department, sends all the closing docs, to the title company...And the signing begins...That does not sound so hard, does it? WOW a lot can be kicked back, to the buyer, asking for more information...And every buyer is different...The process I personally appreciate is local underwriters and processors...someone who a document can be handed over, in person if need be...If either of those departments has 48 hour turnaround time...That can slow things way down...Not always..SO my advise to a buyer...Tell your lender everything that you can think of Or have been asked to bring in, quickly:):) There is more that makes a GREAT Lender...However the best part is communication:)
